This blog has been running on Blogger since I started it in 2007, but they keep changing their design/templating system and I could be bothered to figure it out again. And the comments are nearly always spam. So I thought I would move to a static blog.
Jamstack had a list of static site generators so I chose a .NET powered one that could work with markdown - Statiq Web
Exported my posts from blogger into their XML backup format. Then found a neat little library called blog2md by palaniraja that was able to convert that to a bunch of markdown documents.
Then I just had to fiddle around a bit with the templates and Bootstrap and SCSS. Voila, new blog.
